Mit dabei ist&nbsp;Roli, Dani und Gebi. Am Flughafen treffen&nbsp;wir noch Dani und Ramon. Um halb vier Uhr morgens stehen wir hellwach im Keller und sortieren unser Material. Unser Ziel f\u00fcr diesen Tag ist&nbsp;der &#8222;Hydrophobia&#8220;. Ein 200m hoher Klassiker.&nbsp;Eine&nbsp;gef\u00fchlte Ewigkeit folgen wir kuriosen Reifenspuren in einem f\u00fcr westeurop\u00e4ische Verh\u00e4ltnisse weglosen Gebiet. Die Temperaturanzeige schwankt wenig erfolgversprechend zwischen -25 und -32\u00b0C. Irgendwann erblicken wir in der Ferne zwei Eisspuren, von denen die rechte den &#8222;Hydrophobia&#8220; bildet. Unser &#8222;Vorstiegs- Orakel&#8220; weist mich an das scharfe Ende des Seils. Ich k\u00e4mpfe mich&nbsp;vorsichtig hinauf. Erst nach 10 Metern beisst meine Klinge das erste&nbsp;mal vertrauenserweckend im&nbsp;spr\u00f6den Eis. Absicherung war so gut wie keine Vorhanden. Im F\u00fchrer mit&nbsp;WI4+ bewertet, scheint es doch bessere Verh\u00e4ltnisse in diesem Gully zu geben. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>Schnell erkennen wir, dass wir bei Temperaturen, welche um die -30\u00b0C pendeln die Kletterei&nbsp;in der Sonne bevorzugen k\u00f6nnten. Somit ging es am zweiten Tag zur <strong>&#8222;Weeping Wall&#8220; WI5 300m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Im unteren Teil klettern wir dank einem relativ gro\u00dfen Ansturm von Eiskletterern einen chaotischen zickzack Mix von drei Seill\u00e4ngen. Im oberen Teil klettern wir \u00fcber eine optisch sch\u00f6ne Spur direkt rechts&nbsp;neben dem imposant und pilzig wirkenden Weeping Pillar. Die erste SL im oberen Teil war dank Schnee und d\u00fcnnem Eis recht Anspruchsvoll. Die oberen drei&nbsp;Sl f\u00fchren durch ein relativ breites Eisschild. Der Herausgeber des Eiskletterf\u00fchrers &#8222;Ice Lines&#8220; &#8211; J. Als der Thermometer am Parkplatz die -30 wieder einmal \u00fcberschreitet, drehen wir frustriert, ohne aus dem Auto zu steigen um. Zwei Tage zuvor fiel uns&nbsp;links der Weeping Wall&nbsp;eine sch\u00f6ne, d\u00fcnn anmutende&nbsp;Eislinie auf. Da diese etwas Sonne abbekommen sollte, machen wir uns auf den Weg dort hin. Nach etwa eineinhalb Stunden auf einem Highway und darauf folgender Schotterstra\u00dfe biegen wir in ein wegloses Flussbett ab. Wir sind im Herzen des Ghost angelangt. Nach \u00fcberqueren zahlreicher zugefrorener B\u00e4che, entscheiden wir schlie\u00dflich, unserem 2,6t &#8222;Truck&#8220;&nbsp;eine weitere Bach\u00fcberquerung zu ersparen und ihn zu parken.<\/p>\n<p>Wie wir bald merken, war dies die richtige Entscheidung&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Je weiter wir in das Tal vordringen, desto fragiler wird die Eisschicht, welche den Bach bedeckt. f\u00e4llt uns auf, dass sich der Wasserpegel des Flusses, in welchem wir geparkt hatten, drastisch ver\u00e4ndert hatte. Stellen, welche zuvor noch mit einer dicken, trockenen Eisschicht \u00fcberzogen waren, sind nun kaum mehr begehbar. Immer wieder brechen wir zu Fuss ein. Ein ungutes Gef\u00fchl kommt auf. Wir laufen so schnell es geht zum Auto. Wir hoffen, dass die bevorstehenden \u00dcberg\u00e4nge noch passierbar sind. Hier festzusitzen h\u00e4tte uns gerade noch gefehlt. Gottseidank waren diese noch problemlos passierbar und schon bald erreichen wir die sichere Schotterpiste.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Unser Ziel am n\u00e4chsten Tag war der <strong>&#8222;Polar Circus&#8220; WI5 400m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Aufgrund der&nbsp;extremen K\u00e4lte und der vielen Seill\u00e4ngen beschlie\u00dfen wir vorerst das Seil am R\u00fccken zu behalten und nebeneinander zu klettern. Durch die stetige Bewegung hoffen wir, die K\u00e4lte nicht allzu intensiv zu sp\u00fcren. Optimistisch ziehe ich eine Schicht weniger an. Als ich w\u00e4hrend der Autofahrt ins &#8222;Sunshine Village&#8220; den starken Wind bemerke, bereue ich dies. Unter recht unangenehmen Verh\u00e4ltnissen pickeln wir den <strong>&#8222;Bugeau Left&#8220; WI5 150m<\/strong> hoch. Als wir am &#8222;Parkplatz&#8220; unser Material richten h\u00f6ren wir ein Motorger\u00e4usch in der Ferne. Schon bald tauchen zwei Scheinwerfer auf. Sofort (und das liegt nicht nur am Fahrstil des herannahenden Fahrzeugs) ist klar, das sind Alex und Hanno. Gemeinsam machen wir uns auf den Weg zum <strong>&#8222;Real Big Drip&#8220; M8+ WI6<\/strong>. Roli und ich hatten bei unseren letzten Ausfl\u00fcgen ins Ghost bereits Verdacht gesch\u00f6pft, dass diese Linie passable Verh\u00e4ltnisse aufweisen k\u00f6nnte. Am Einstieg lassen wir Alex und Hanno den Vortritt. Alex liefert eine sehr starke onsight Performance in der ersten L\u00e4nge ab. Bis wir einsteigen, sind wir beide total eingefroren. Wir k\u00e4mpfen uns die ersten zwei Seill\u00e4ngen nach oben. Ohne jeglichen Bewegungsspielraum stehen wir am Standplatz. Direkt \u00fcber unseren K\u00f6pfen befindet sich jener&nbsp;m\u00e4chtige, freih\u00e4ngende Eispanzer&nbsp;welchen Hanno jetzt&nbsp;anklettern soll. Ohne zu z\u00f6gern treten wir den R\u00fcckzug an. Wir stehen etwas entmutigt am Einstieg. Als ich wortlos mein Material in den steif gefrorenen Rucksack hineinstopfe,&nbsp;daran zweifelnd&nbsp;ob dies wohl die richtige Entscheidung war,&nbsp;schallt&nbsp;ein lauter Schrei&nbsp;von oben herunter. Hanno r\u00e4umt eine mannesgro\u00dfe Eiss\u00e4ule ab, welche direkt auf unseren vorigen Standplatz donnert. Die Eisbrocken fliegen in alle Richtungen bevor sie dumpf in den kniehohen Schnee am Einstieg einschlagen.<\/p>\n<p>W\u00e4hrend wir zum Auto zur\u00fcck stapfen legen wir fest, dass wir morgen, an unserem letzten Tag, nochmals einen Versuch starten&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Heute l\u00e4uft alles glatt. Roli steigt die ersten beiden Seill\u00e4ngen vor, ich die letzten drei.
